Features & Performance

The UV Ozone Cleaner UVC-1014 is a highly functional benchtop system for treatment of small to medium-sized substrates and objects up to a maximum height of 1.5 in.  Easy loading and pick-up of objects is achieved by means of the fully extensible drawer.  The electronic timer can be pre-set within a range from 1s to 100 min.  After loading, a cleaning process may be started by means of a start/stop push button. A LED indicates operation of the system.

Optimum distance of flat objects, such as object slides, SPR chips, etc., from the UV source can be achieved by means of an inlay, which reduces the max. object height from 1.5 down to 0.5 in. Objects of different size may be treated simultaneously by use of the drawer's main bottom and wings.

Typical processing times are in the range of few to few tens of minutes, depending on material, type of treatment, and degree of contamination. In any case, the optimum duration of a process can be easily determined by the actual system's operator.

The graph shown below illustrates the change in the advancing contact angle of object slides freshly taken from package as a function of the cleaner's operating time.

IMPORTANT:  To keep ozone concentration in the cleaner's environment at an tolerable level, the device has to be operated inside of a suitable fume hood or air exhaust.
